Jubilee Rivera-Hernandez is an aspiring elementary educator pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Teaching at Colorado College, where she also attained a Bachelor of Arts in Education with Minors in Art Studio and Spanish Language.

 

She is proud of her raíces and her status as a first-generation graduate. She owes her success to her parents, siblings, and husband whose sacrifices and support have played a pivotal role in who she is and what she fights for. She is eternally grateful to her family for their unconditional love.

She resides in Denver with her husband and their two dogs, Layla and Molly.

​EDUCATOR STATEMENT

I desire to integrate my passion for the arts into the classroom. I believe art has the power to create change on a personal and collective level. As such, I believe it is my responsibility to encourage my students to become creative critical thinkers. I want my students to be empowered to stand up for themselves and for others.

I aim to create little resisters out of my young learners.

I want to have a pedagogy of love.
